What is a travel assignment?
A travel assignment is a temporary position for a nurse or other
healthcare professional with at least one year of recent clinical
experience, at a hospital located at least 50 miles from your home.
You can stay in Alego Health provided housing near the hospital
during the length of your assignment, or take a housing allowance
if you chose. The assignment can be as short as 3 weeks, or as
long as 26 weeks, but most travel assignments are 13 weeks in duration.
Why would I choose to work a travel assignment?
The compensation and bonus packages are much better than regular

Yes, assignments can be arranged for qualified friends or couples.
Can I travel with
a friend, family member or pet?
Yes, some assignments will allow for housing to accommodate your
personal lifestyle needs.
Will Alego Health
offer health insurance to a traveler?
Yes, and if you wish to keep your current health insurance in
place, we will add a health insurance subsidy to your compensation
while you are on assignment instead.
What is a per diem
assignment?
A per diem assignment is a PRN assignment in a local hospital
without a specific regular schedule, and without a specific length.
What is a contract
assignment?
A contract assignment is usually an assignment in a local hospital
with a defined schedule and a specified length.
Why would I want
to work as a per diem or contract professional?
The compensation as a per diem or contract employee is much better,
and you are in control of your own schedule, and where you want
to work. Only you decide whether to accept a contract assignment,
and as a per diem, you can decide day-to-day whether to accept
an assignment or not.
Will Alego Health
offer health insurance to a per diem or contractprofessional?
Yes, after a qualifying period, health insurance will be made
available.
How will I get
paid?
Alego Health administers payroll directly, on a direct deposit,
weekly basis. That means your pay is wired directly into the bank
account you designate every week at no charge to you, and you have
immediate access to your funds. And because we administer our own
payroll, you can call us directly with any questions you may have.
How do I get a
referral bonus?
Whether you work for Alego Health or not, if you refer a qualified
professional to us and that person begins a first assignment, you
get a part of a referral bonus, and when the person completes the
first assignment, you get the rest.
